Not as easy as it Sounds

The sound portrait project was a fun one, but harder than I had imagined. Perhaps harder is not the right term. The interview was easy enough to pull together, the editing was time consuming but fun and the end result sounds pretty good.

However, I notice several things now that the project is over and I have taken a step back to re-evaluate the results.

One thing I've noticed is the lack of proper enunciation/inflection/tone at the ending of phrases and sentences. This is likely due to the fact that my interviewee read my questions just before we began and began telling his story, without much inflection between sentences. There was not the stop and start of a normal question and answer interview.

Looking back I may have been able to minimize this to some extent had I not edited out the pauses and/or restructured the dialogue in an effort to pull it into a five minute sound byte vrs the twenty plus minutes he talked.

Overall a satisfactory result...I think
